Predictably the menu has Indian cuisine classics such as Butter Chicken, Lamb Rogan Josh, Dhal and a large selection of Tandoori specialities. Each and every one of these dishes are dazzlingly delicious, Australian indians can vouch for. Unable to put our finger on what makes them so unique we’ll leave it to you to do your own research. Rest assured, while the menu is large it’s impossible to order badly. Although we do recommend the Onion Salad to break up the heavier options, and as onion salads go this one is particular standout!
Okay, okay – let’s talk about the drinks! Celebrated sommelier Bhatia Dheeraj oversees the extensive wine list which features local producers alongside interstate and overseas drops. All beverages, including a line-up of beers and ciders, can be found in self-serve fridges. But it’s the cocktails the won our hearts. If you’re a fan of a Bloody Mary you absolutely must, without a question a doubt, order their substitute made with carrot juice rather than tomato. It’s a game changer! We’ve also convinced ourselves it’s on the healthier end of cocktail consumption.
If you’re yet to try Daughter in Law, believe the hype. It’s a welcome addition to the growing Byron food scene. Walk-ins are welcome, however bookings are highly recommended.
