The 70-person corner space has ample indoor and outdoor seating which is both heated and covered from the elements. The terrace area also makes it very dog friendly if you’re inclined to bring your four-legged friend.
The Mosey On Inn Group do many things well, but one of their most notable abilities is to create a space that looks authentic and lived in. If you told us You Beauty had been an establishment for the last 30 years we would believe you. From the jam-packed community noticeboard to the mindful arrangement of knick-knacks on their back bar, the analogue sound system and the chalk board of wines by the glass, You Beauty oozes character from a bygone era.
You can tell a lot about the future of your dining experience by ordering the bread and butter, and You Beauty’s did not disappoint. We’d head back to Bangalow just for a plate of the Sourdough and Brown Butter (paired with a glass of wine of course).
So now you know where to start let’s run through the rest of the menu. There’s cured meats, olives, and oysters. On the day we dined there was also a chicken terrine and house made feta, which were both great on their own but even better with the bread. The raw fish and fermented pineapple was generously portioned and delicious from the first bite to the last. Heavy with veggie dishes, the menu easily caters to any dietary requirements. Finally, there’s a small number of ‘larger dishes’ and a selection of desserts
Okay but what are we washing it all down with? On this occasion we skipped the cocktail menu and went straight for the wine list which was small but interesting and well thought out. There’s also beer and all your usual bar suspects.
If you’re hesitant to break out of the Byron bubble we highly recommend making an opportunity to visit this venue. It’s located around 12 minutes from The Bower and very much worth the scenic drive to beautiful Bangalow.
