STYLE EDIT: The Swimwear We’re Buying This Summer

Swimwear must-haves are at top of mind when the sun and the sea and blue Byron skies herald the start of the most delicious time of year in our coastal paradise. And this season’s look is a delightful combo of flirty, romantic, eye-catching statements in itsy bitsy bikinis as well as sleek one pieces to swim in, surf in, or catch some sun. There are styles to best show off the perfectly toned body and others in the most curve flattering styles because, let’s face it, we’re all pretty much bespoke body-wise!

 
Nostalgia is undoubtedly a theme in some of the ranges for 2019, with the 50’s off-the-shoulder look and feature tortoise shell buckle a fave. And there’s lots of block colours too especially classic black and white, but pretty summer florals and bright splashes of metallic rust, copper and bronze feature too.
 
And like us at The Bower, the joy is in the detail and this season’s swimwear has lots to offer from soft shoulder strap ties, feminine ruching and cleverly placed cut-outs to bright metallic bead detail, frills, textured/ribbed fabrics and delicate spots.
 
We thought we’d share The Bower’s team picks from the newest ranges on offer, just to get you thinking about holidays sprawled out on the whitest of sands at Wategos or Clarkes or on one of the luxury loungers you’ll find positioned around our ever so sensual, perfectly round swimming pool.
 
And top of our list? Zimmerman with its romantic prints and featured frills, lace and embroidery detail. It’s a bit retro-leaning with its high-waisted bottoms and shirred bandeau tops as well has lots of options featuring cheeky cut outs and softly falling ties. It’s a bit like our design aesthetic – a nod to design perfection from times gone by augmented superbly with a contemporary twist.
 
Then there’s Byron’s own Zulu and Zephyr which is now established internationally and worn by the likes of Margot Robbie, Gemma Ward and Bar Rafaeli and Nicole Trunfio. For sisters Candice and Karla Rose, it’s all about the fit, the fabrics and carefully crafted styles to suit every body. Our favourites are from their Signatures collection pictured in white but also available in pure black and beautiful olive. Impeccable design. Impeccable construction.
